Day in the Life: Outside Equipment Sales Professional Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the values and mission James River Equipment and its product lines Builds lasting relationships with customers always focusing on long term growth, resolving problems and providing ongoing support to those customers Promotes JD equipment products to customers in their assigned territory, responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through closing the sale Interacts with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate products and explain features Monitors market conditions, competitor’s products and pricing, and forecasts annual territory sales

Requirements

  • Equipment sales experience (related equipment or rental equipment), or related industry experience in sales required
  • Territory management and knowledge of local markets
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, follow through and communication are required
  • Ability to present and negotiate exceptionally well with basic knowledge of equipment financing and accounting
  • Computer skills to include experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to travel territory assigned
