About The Position

This role is for an Outside Commercial Sales Professional within Terminix Nation, part of the Rentokil family of companies. The position focuses on building relationships and solving problems for clients, rather than traditional high-pressure sales tactics. Salespeople are described as the engine of the company and are rewarded with competitive compensation and benefits. The role involves learning about pest identification and solutions, then applying this knowledge to create proposals and close sales. It is a mobile and independent role, where the salesperson acts as the face of Terminix in their local community, protecting businesses and livelihoods. The initial phase includes several months of training, followed by obtaining state-required licenses and certificates. After this, the salesperson will manage their own customers and receive competitive pay and benefits. The company fosters a strong sense of community and encourages giving back through volunteering and donations. Training is provided by experienced professionals, and the company covers the cost of obtaining necessary licenses.

Requirements

  • A high school education or GED.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals).
  • Ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to keep the vehicle and all other equipment clean.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes or within arm's reach.
  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator.
  • Willingness to regularly work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
