About The Position

B.Y.O.T. Auto Parts is hiring an Outside Auto Production team member at its Bryan location. The role supports the company’s auto recycling operations by preparing vehicles for recycling processes and yard placement while helping the team meet productivity goals. The employee is expected to work safely and demonstrate integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication with coworkers and customers. Work is performed in person and includes regular exposure to outdoor weather and periodic exposure to minimal chemical hazards.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent.
Ability to safely use industrial tools and equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
Ability to work variable schedules, including weekends.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and stretch for extended periods during the workday.
Manual dexterity to handle tools and ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
Vision sufficient to perform job functions safely.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in automotive part or product identification.
Experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Remove fluids, lubricants, and recyclable components, including catalytic converters, batteries, and sensors, safely and efficiently.
Prepare vehicles for placement in the yard.
Assist with relocating vehicles from the drain rack to the customer parts yard.
Remove trash and miscellaneous items from vehicles before moving them to the processing area.
Remove batteries and test their condition for resale.
Move items such as batteries, wheels, and tires to the retail sales area.
Inspect the customer yard for loose parts and place them into vehicles or bins.
Operate a forklift and/or loader; training may be provided.
Remove tires from rims and stage tires and rims in the proper location.
Assist with loading trucks.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Ensure compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations and follow company policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
Work variable schedules, including weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
