About The Position

The Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (IICAPS) provides comprehensive community-based clinical, case management, and case coordination services for children and adolescents aged 3 to 18, who have a history of or at risk of hospitalization. The goals of IICAPS include stabilizing and maintaining children in their homes and communities, developing strength-based comprehensive assessments and treatment plans, and improving the child's relationships within his or her school, family, and community. The Outreach Therapist position offers a flexible schedule based on client availability, with weekly supervision and a supportive team environment. There are no on-call requirements on weekends or holidays. Requirements

Master’s Degree or higher in mental health field.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience as a psychotherapist working with people with mental illness and/or serious emotional disorders.
Demonstrated training and experience in all aspects of mental health treatment, assessment, evaluation and provision of individual, group and family therapy.
Relevant experience to program model to which individual is assigned.
LCSW, LMFT, LPC, eligible. Licensed preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides assessment and treatment interventions consistent with fidelity to evidence based model if applicable.
Documents ongoing client progress and outcomes.
Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
Works with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural supports.
Maintains collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers.
Provides crisis assessment and intervention to monitor status of clients in crisis.
Performs home and community based care.
Responsible for Maintaining Client and Staff Records According to Agency Policy.
Provides Coverage for team members during periods of absence.
Participates in weekly supervision and meetings to review client and program progress.
Transports clients, when necessary using agency vehicles and/or personal vehicle.
Additional duties as required.
