About The Position

This is a grant-funded position supporting the development and maintenance of the Texas Foster Youth Network's (TXFYN) statewide service directory and provider network. The Outreach Specialist will engage providers, maintain up-to-date referral information, and support youth- and provider-facing outreach activities. The position is expected to continue until September 30, 2027, and requires the ability to work remotely within the state of Texas. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in outreach and/or community engagement.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Values the contributions of others in the work environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work remotely within the state of Texas.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to providers through calls, emails, and site visits.
  • Serve as a point of contact for questions.
  • Encourage active participation in Texas Foster Youth Network (TXFYN).
  • Attend outreach events, regional meetings, and community fairs to promote Texas Foster Youth Network (TXFYN), recruit providers, and strengthen community relationships.
  • Update and maintain the statewide service directory and referral tracking system.
  • Ensure provider information is accurate, complete, and current.
  • Prepare materials, schedule meetings, track follow-up tasks, and assist with Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) coordination to support partnership development.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of outreach materials.
  • Support provider training efforts through logistics, material development, and attendance tracking.
  • Collect and report outreach metrics and monitor activity progress.
  • Ensure provider engagement remains trauma-informed, youth-centered, and culturally responsive.
  • Participate in institute functions such as trainings, supervision, staff meetings, and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
