About The Position

Riverside Community Care is hiring an Outreach Specialist to join a compassionate, person-centered team serving youth and families in their homes and communities. The role builds safety, resilience, and connection by providing safe, therapeutic, skill-based interventions that support social, emotional, and family functioning. The specialist helps families navigate challenging moments, connects them with relevant resources, supports participation in treatment-related activities, and coordinates services with program staff and the treatment team. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with flexible hours between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to meet families’ needs. Pay is $22.94 per hour.

Requirements

At least six months of experience working with children and/or adolescents with emotional difficulties and their families.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation.
A bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related discipline and one year of experience working with youth is listed as preferred.
An associate degree in a Human Services field and one year of experience working with youth is listed.

Responsibilities

Build trusting, supportive relationships with youth and caregivers.
Provide safe, therapeutic, and skill-based interventions to enhance social, emotional, and family functioning.
Support behavior plans, collaborative limit setting, and crisis intervention.
Connect youth and families with community and program resources that support their strengths and treatment goals.
Transport families to treatment-related activities and events.
Coordinate with Program Management, Home-Based Clinicians, and the Treatment Team to provide responsive services centered on each family’s needs and voice.
