About The Position

Veterans Inc. is a premier non-profit organization dedicated to ending veteran homelessness and inspiring 100,000+ veterans and their families across New England to achieve long-term self-sufficiency. As a national leader in veteran services, we are currently seeking a dynamic Outreach Manager who will lead our frontline team to identify underserved veteran populations, build strategic community partnerships, and ensure our nation's heroes have immediate access to the resources they deserve. As the Outreach Manager, you will spearhead our community-based initiatives connecting veterans and their families to vital housing, healthcare, benefits, and food security services. You will design data-driven outreach strategies, lead a dedicated team of Specialists, and manage daily operations for our food pantry and clothing closet. This individual would be based out of the 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA location but will be required to travel throughout New England to promote the agency mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, or related field required.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in supervising outreach, community engagement, case management support, or related field required.

  • Experience working with veterans or vulnerable populations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Determine VA eligibility, assess client needs, and connect veterans to critical services like MassHealth, housing, and employment.
  • Develop referral networks and represent the agency at local events, workshops, and community-based initiatives.
  • Manage the daily schedules, training, and performance of Outreach Specialists, interns, and volunteers.
  • Ensure daily operations of the food pantry and clothing closet comply with internal and external standards, safety codes, and inventory needs.
  • Maintain the organizational outreach calendar and strategically allocate staff to events and initiatives.
  • Track engagement metrics, maintain audit-ready documentation, and compile reports for grant and program evaluation.
  • Create and distribute informational/marketing materials and provide direct resource navigation to community members.
  • Identify service gaps in the community and collaborate with leadership to develop outreach strategies for underserved veteran populations.
