The Outreach Intervention Coordinator is responsible for monitoring student attendance, identifying barriers to school success, and working directly with students, families, and school district staff to remove those barriers. The position approaches this work through indigenous, strengths-based practices centered in Port Gamble S'Klallam values, community, relationship, respect, and holistic wellbeing, connecting students and families to tribal and community resources and culturally grounded support. This position works in close partnership with Academic Coaches and Education Teachers to support student success, and also plans and leads family engagement activities that strengthen the relationship between families, the Tribe, and the school district. The role is approximately 80% intervention (attendance monitoring, barrier identification, and family outreach) and 20% event/activity coordination (family engagement events). This position is eligible for situational remote work as needed. The schedule must be discussed with and approved by the supervisor and director and may be subject to change depending on role and department need.
