About The Position

River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for an Outreach and Enrollment Specialist to join our team in Delta, CO. It is the responsibility of this position to provide assistance to patients and potential patients of River Valley Family Health Center in the enrollment of appropriate insurance & Sliding Fee Scale programs. They will perform outreach in our communities to ensure we are a known entity and community members are educated about the services River Valley provides. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in Spanish.
  • Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with individuals and groups of diverse racial, ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members, patients, families, and others.
  • Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting electronic medical records, and to complete follow-up tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel between clinics, or to training and meetings, as needed.
  • Employees are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior marketing experience in a healthcare setting, or similar position, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Determining eligibility and providing assistance to patients and potential patients in enrolling in appropriate insurance, Sliding Fee Scale, Colorado Indigent Care Program, Medicaid, and Child Health Plan Plus programs.
  • Participating in local and regional Outreach groups, activities, and fairs, developing presentations for community groups and referral sources, and attending all training sessions at the federal, state, and local level.
  • Facilitating the Spanish Patient Family Advisory Council Meetings.
  • Providing educational materials regarding insurance options to community partners including health departments, hospitals, urgent care clinics, providers offices, human service agencies and collaborate and coordinate outreach efforts with them.
