About The Position

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist provides education and enrollment assistance for uninsured and underinsured children and adults. The Outreach & Enrollment Team is responsible for establishing community partnerships and increasing awareness of HealthNet and their services, providing outreach and enrollment assistance for all uninsured individuals, collaborating with other HealthNet departments/programs to facilitate in-reach efforts for existing patients, receiving and following up on referrals (internal and external) in a timely manner, identifying, establishing, and maintaining ongoing relationships with individuals, groups, and organizations in the community to increase awareness of health insurance options and create referral opportunities, participating in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team as well as the HealthNet organization, and attending all required trainings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver’s License required.
• Reliable transportation required, required to travel to all health centers.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Indiana Navigator Certification preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Knowledge in Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIP 2.0 a plus.
• False Claims Act (FCA) experience a plus.
• Knowledge of enrollment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in community events to promote the services of the Outreach Enrollment team as well as the HealthNet organization.
• Attend all required trainings.
