About The Position

Outreach Associates are responsible for building relationships with qualified referral partners in the Houston, TX territory, for the purpose of facilitating admissions to American Addiction Centers Treatment Programs. This role requires identifying, building, and maintaining relationships with key referral partners, managing a regular servicing schedule that balances referral partner maintenance and new business development. The associate will manage all client-related communication and CRM remotely via AAC-provided smart mobile devices, with communication frequently falling outside regular business hours, including weekends. Occasional overnight travel will be required. The role involves converting general inquiries into admissions by managing the admissions process, and associates are measured monthly against company-wide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). A general understanding of treatment modalities, levels of care, and industry best practices for treating substance use and co-occurring disorders is necessary. The position requires the ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, and problem-solve through various scenarios. Responsibilities include conducting quality presentations for agencies, hospital staff, discharge planners, and other identified groups, building and maintaining productive interdepartmental relationships, adhering to expense limitations and guidelines, and submitting monthly expenses via Expensify by the designated deadline. Clear communication with key team members regarding potential admits and clients in the pipeline is essential. The role also involves assisting the clinical team with discharge planning, including identifying and contacting appropriate facilities for transfer of care when needed. Knowledge of managed care and insurance as it relates to mental health benefits is a plus. Outreach Associates must possess the skills and competency to communicate with people at all levels of the organization, including executive management, patients, and external agencies.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in addiction treatment marketing field.
  • 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to create reports outlining weekly visits
  • Valid driver's license, and pass MVR check.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
