About The Position

S&B is seeking a Manager of Development Operations to lead the development team. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating personnel, resources, and processes necessary to deliver new software solutions or upgrade existing products. The Manager is accountable for end-to-end secure delivery across a hybrid enterprise environment, spanning legacy systems and modern cloud platforms, with a strong focus on advancing cloud-native and containerized application patterns. This position plays a key role in the organization’s technology modernization efforts, helping evolve existing systems and practices toward scalable, secure, automated, and cloud-aligned architectures. The role fosters a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instills the principles of this culture in a team of developers. A minimum of 6 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience is required.

Requirements

  • 6 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience.
  • Customer-facing manager with hands-on technical expertise.
  • Ability to architect and manage a DevOps Team.
  • 6-8 years of experience in modern software development, architecture, and DevOps.
  • Experience in agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
  • Experience with deployment strategies that support both iterative and continuous development.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and operations.
  • Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
  • Experience working in environments with modern application development stacks.
  • Experience with Java (backend development).
  • Experience with Go (backend development).
  • Experience with ReactJS (frontend development).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, release management, and work tracking).
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working within Kubernetes/AKS containerized and cloud-native environments.
  • Strong ability to coach developers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development team.
  • Oversee and coordinate personnel, resources, and processes for software delivery and upgrades.

  • Recruit, hire and manage full-time developers, contractors, and consultants.
