About The Position

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Outplant Logistics Manager! Preferably this position will be based at a Dow location in the Gulf Coast, however Midland, MI may be considered. In this role, you will use technical and operations logistics knowledge to improve process performance and reliability for outplant terminals and their associated transportation modes. You will work with key partners to optimize operations on a regular basis and assist business/functional clients by performing contract administration, leading/participating in improvement initiatives, and supporting crisis management. As the lead Dow focal point for your assigned outplant terminals, you will be responsible for developing a strong understanding of operational business practices within your discipline and functional area. You will collaborate across Logistics, Quality, Safety, and Business teams to coordinate activities, improve operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, set clear performance expectations, share information with stakeholders, and manage sensitive situations with professionalism. You will use sound judgment to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day technical and operational challenges while escalating issues with broader business impact when appropriate.

Requirements

A minimum of a bachelor's degree OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking OR 10 years of relevant working experience.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Responsibilities

Perform the role of contract administrator for assigned outplant terminals.
Utilize logistics knowledge, technical expertise and operations experience to assist in correcting process or equipment issues which improve process performance and reliability.
Work with technical advising and logistics operations personnel to improve and optimize operations.
Lead advanced troubleshooting and coach others to learn these skills.
Ensure Most Effective Technology and specific operating discipline requirements are in place.
Support procurement tender negotiation and implementation with operational expertise.
Conduct terminal review meetings and drives continuous improvement efforts between terminals, business planners, logistics, safety, and quality.
Add value to logistics work processes by participating in process business/functional improvement efforts.
Identify opportunities to minimize cost-to-serve through process improvements and lead logistics initiatives and projects in areas of expertise.
Contribute to the development of logistics plans consistent with business/functional responsibility. (For example, S&OP focal point).
Serve as the Dow and terminal focal point for mode QNs, investigations, corrective actions, and issue escalation and acts as RCI team Lead for P1 events.
