Requirements

  • Licensed by the Department of Health Professionals as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
  • Experience with providing therapeutic services to population served (children, adolescents, adults, couples, and/or families)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
  • Willingness to work non-traditional business hours
  • Exhibit consistent personal integrity in dealings with youth, families, co-workers, and community agencies
  • High level of organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for referred clients and/or provide clinical review of such an assessment conducted by a license resident/supervisee
  • Provide and document individual, family, and/or group therapy to assigned clients
  • Provide clinical supervision, as assigned
  • Provide consultation, case management, and/or trainings, as assigned
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of clients, flexibility, a non-threatening manner, respect for clients’ autonomy, confidentiality, socio-cultural values, personal goals, life style choices, and family interactions, and appropriate professional boundaries and ethics
  • Maintain current Department of Health Professions License (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCP, etc.)
  • Receive documented routine clinical consultation/administrative supervision regarding services from the director of community services or community services coordinator
  • Work closely with the Community Services Coordinators, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, bookkeeper, insurance coordinators and/or other relevant persons to ensure proper and timely billing procedures are practiced, including submissions for authorizations
  • Ensure that all required documentation is completed for billing
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, families, referring agencies, other licensed mental health professionals and all other persons involved in serving clients
  • Work cooperatively with all Elk Hill staff to improve the quality of the whole organization
