About The Position

The therapist role at Cedar Springs Hospital is designed to provide group and individual therapy to clients within an outpatient setting. Therapists are primarily responsible for treatment and discharge planning, and they interface with community agencies and referral sources throughout the client's course of treatment. As the PHP/IOP Therapist, this individual will oversee all social work functions for acute patients, including Psychosocial Assessments, Treatment Plans, Active Treatment, and Discharge Planning. Cedar Springs Hospital's mission is to deliver high-quality services to individuals and families dealing with mental illness or substance abuse, utilizing innovative services, appropriate levels of care, individually tailored programs, and highly qualified mental health professionals. The hospital is dedicated to providing quality, multidisciplinary behavioral health care services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to complete required clinical paperwork according to established protocol and regulatory agency requirements
  • Must be able to maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and families
  • Ability to act professionally in high stress situations
  • Master’s degree in a counseling related field, MSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPC, licensed or seeking licensure in the State of Colorado
  • One year of clinical experience working with adults

Responsibilities
