Outpatient Therapist, Full-time , PM shift
About The Position
Charter Oak Hospital is hiring an Adolescent Outpatient Therapist for its IOP/PHP department. The hospital provides individualized mental health and substance use disorder treatment using a patient-centric approach. Therapists support patients’ healing, growth, and long-term wellness through treatment and discharge planning. The position is full-time on an 8-hour PM shift. Pay ranges are $30.00–$36.00 for BBS-registered clinicians and $36.00–$43.00 for BBS-licensed clinicians. The hospital offers clinical supervision for associate license holders, including ASW and APCC clinicians, to accrue BBS hours toward licensure. Aurora Charter Oak Hospital is located on 10 acres in Covina, California, about 22 miles east of downtown Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley, near the 10, 60, and 210 freeways. The hospital has delivered behavioral health treatment services for over 83 years.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- BBS registration in one of the listed disciplines: LMFT, LCSW, LPC, AMFT, ASW, or APCC.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider card upon hire.
- Complete Therapeutic Options™ training before providing direct patient care without a preceptor.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using various professional treatment modalities.
- Participate in formulating patients’ treatment plans, goals, and objectives.
- Develop and coordinate individualized discharge plans using treatment-team input and written chart information to determine patients’ aftercare needs.
- Contact family members or community resources, such as group homes and private mental health practitioners, by phone or written correspondence to meet patients’ aftercare needs.
