Cumberland County Guidance Center is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) / Outpatient Therapist to join our Outpatient Department in Bridgeton, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Therapist, Behavioral Health Therapist, Clinical Therapist, or Psychotherapist who is passionate about providing high-quality mental health counseling, substance use treatment, and recovery-focused care to individuals and families throughout the community. As part of our outpatient behavioral health team, you'll provide psychotherapy, assessments, treatment planning, and clinical support while helping clients achieve meaningful recovery outcomes and improved overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or another mental health-related discipline
  • Current New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) License
  • Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy
  • Experience treating mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
  • Experience developing treatment plans
  • Experience conducting clinical assessments
  • Comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services
  • Valid New Jersey driver's license with an acceptable driving history

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in outpatient behavioral health settings
  • Experience serving individuals with mental health and substance use challenges within their communities
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Care
  • Experience providing recovery-oriented services
  • Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health and behavioral health assessments
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Develop individual treatment plans and recovery goals
  • Deliver evidence-based counseling and psychotherapy services (such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care formats)
  • Provide treatment for individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation
  • Offer both in-person and telehealth services to meet the needs of clients throughout the community
