About The Position

Established in 1993, ncgCARE is the parent company of seven behavioral healthcare organizations specializing in outpatient counseling, community-based counseling, and treatment foster care. National Counseling Group (NCG), an ncgCARE partner, is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to join their team. The role involves leading critical aspects of client care, including case management, crisis intervention, psychological evaluations, and wraparound team support. This position is suitable for licensed, license-eligible, or resident in counseling professionals looking to make a meaningful impact while advancing their careers. The Outpatient Therapist provides case management services, develops individualized service plans, offers crisis intervention, conducts psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments, and facilitates wraparound meetings to ensure coordinated care.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed or license-eligible in Virginia (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Resident in Counseling)
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with care teams as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards
  • Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure level)
