About The Position

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. Partial Hospital Therapists are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks: Conduct psychosocial assessments to document patient history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members. Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring that concise, realistic care plans are carried out. Provide individual, group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conduct other didactic groups using various professional treatment modalities. Document treatment provided to patient in medical record legibly and in a timely manner. Conduct and attend regular treatment team meetings to provide social service perspective to total case management of the patient with the interdisciplinary team by presenting patient’s case and progress towards treatment plan goals, making treatment recommendations, and actively coordinating each case with all members of the treatment team. Develops and coordinates individualized aftercare plans for the patient by utilizing treatment team, family, community professional, individual preference, and written chart information to determine the patient’s discharge needs. Accesses by phone or written correspondence family or community resources such as housing options, therapy, medication management, other mental health practitioners or services, medical practitioners/family physician to meet the patient’s aftercare needs. Requirements

  • Licensure: LPC, LSW or LCSW required.
  • Education: MSW or master’s degree in a recognized mental health field required.
  • Experience: Two years of partial hospital experience
