About The Position

The Outpatient Therapist performs social services functions to include; assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinically related mental health field
• Two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility
• Direct experience in family and group therapies
• Direct experience in crisis intervention
• Direct experience in treatment skills
• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Current LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAC (license issued by the State of Missouri)
• CPR certification
• Successful completion of Handle With Care upon hire
• Successful completion of Verbal De-escalation upon hire

Nice To Haves

• Practicum and internship studies or work at a mental health institution while an undergraduate can be included in the experience requirement
