OUTPATIENT THERAPIST (MA/MSW)
About The Position
Palm Point Behavioral Health is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to perform clinical functions. This role involves assisting patients in meeting their goals through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health. Responsibilities include providing basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services for patients/families, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, group therapy, providing information and referrals, and individual therapy as ordered by an MD. The therapist will provide a variety of psychotherapeutic services, including family and individual therapy (for adults and children), in an outpatient psychiatric Behavioral Health Center setting, serving patients with co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse disorders, and other behavioral disorders. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with varying hours.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy or related behavioral health discipline required.
- A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
- An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
Nice To Haves
- LCSW, LMFT, LMFTI, LMHC, or LMHCI preferred.
- Experience with structured environments or high acuity populations (behavioral health, crisis intervention, or group facilitation settings) preferred.
Responsibilities

- Provide specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care.
- Conduct crisis intervention.
- Provide short-term and long-term family therapy.
- Facilitate group therapy.
- Provide information and referrals as needed.
- Provide individual therapy when ordered by an MD.
- Provide a variety of psychotherapeutic services including family and individual therapy (adults and children) in an outpatient psychiatric Behavioral Health Center setting.
- Serve patients with co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse disorders, and other behavioral disorders.
