About The Position

Mountain Youth Academy, a UHS company, is seeking a Therapist (MA/MSW), who is licensed or eligible to gain licensure as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the State of Tennessee. The academy is a 120-bed residential treatment facility located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA, specializing in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of behavioral health issues for young adolescent patients. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the delivery of student continuing care and family services, including providing clinical support, conducting interventions, psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and conducting group, individual, and family therapy. Mountain Youth Academy is offering a $15,000.00 retention bonus for licensed therapists or those eligible for licensure in Tennessee, who maintain full-time employment and successfully perform their job duties for a predetermined payout period. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree, Social Work or in a related field required.
  • Candidates eligible to gain licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT in the State of Tennessee.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other health care professionals, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • LPC, LCSW licensure.
  • Two years’ experience conducting group, individual and family therapy using a variety of treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors adherence to the program schedule and assists the residential team in coordinating the patients’ care, ICMPs, behavioral contracts, etc.
  • Attends and assists in treatment team meetings and clinical /residential staffing meetings.
  • Participates in group and individual supervision.
  • Maintains the EHR for patients assigned to their caseload.
  • Communicates with the dorm team(s).
  • Assists with mentoring and orienting new therapists to the facility.
  • Provides admissions personnel with ongoing admissions and discharge information.
  • Overseeing and coordinating the delivery of student continuing care and family services.
  • Providing clinical support conducting interventions.
  • Conducting psychosocial assessments.
  • Developing the student’s treatment plan.
  • Conducting group, individual and family therapy.
