About The Position

The Outpatient Therapist provides psychotherapy and counseling to patients experiencing psychiatric and substance abuse issues. The role includes group, individual, and family therapy; educating patients about psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems; and participating in treatment planning. The therapist maintains accurate and timely documentation, counsels families to support appropriate communication and involvement, and communicates proactively with clients, families, and outside referral sources involved in treatment.

This is a full-time IOP position with a Monday–Friday schedule from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Beckett Springs is a 96-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in West Chester, Ohio, and part of Lifepoint Health.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
• Relevant current clinical license in accordance with state of practice guidelines.
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy and counseling, including group, individual, and family therapy, for patients with psychiatric and substance abuse issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients about psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Actively participate in the treatment planning process.
• Provide family session counseling to support appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
• Communicate actively and proactively with clients, families, and outside referral sources involved in the patient's treatment.
