About The Position

Western Mental Health Clinic is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide direct clinical services to adults in an outpatient or Adult Intensive Day Treatment Program. This role involves managing a caseload, developing treatment plans, documenting services, and consulting with other healthcare professionals. The therapist will also participate in quality assurance activities and perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in social work or counseling from an accredited graduate program.
• Two years of experience in providing adult services in a mental health setting.
• Working knowledge of community mental health principles and practices.
• Ability to relate effectively to adults with serious mental illness.
• Skills in the appropriate development and implementation of treatment plans.

Nice To Haves

• Licensure as appropriate to the profession, e.g. LICSW, or LPC

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical services, including intake assessments, individual, family, and group therapy, medication monitoring, crisis intervention, basic living skills training, and family support education.
• Provides consultation to community service providers such as pharmacies, schools, emergency rooms, social service agencies, medical offices, and allied health care personnel.
• Manages an assigned caseload, including treatment plan development and authorization, timely and complete documentation of clinical services, case referral, case coordination, and protection of client records.
• Consults with physician/CRNP and/or nurse regarding medication concerns, client needs, progress with mental health treatment, and other clinical concerns in a timely fashion and follows up as appropriate.
• Maintains adequate and timely documentation of all services rendered.
• Participates constructively in performance improvement and quality assurance activities, staff meetings, and in-service trainings.
• Performs all other work-related duties as required.
