About The Position

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist and a Staff Occupational Therapist to join their growing outpatient team. In this position, clinicians will work with a patient population experiencing upper extremity physical dysfunctions, vision disorders, neurological conditions, and decreased independence in daily activities. Responsibilities include evaluating and interpreting clinical findings, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to optimize patient outcomes. This position is located within the Outpatient Specialty Clinic on the Medical Center University Campus and offers the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced, supportive interdisciplinary team committed to excellence in patient care. The department offers extensive mentorship and support from various Clinical Specialists and experienced senior staff. Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
  • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • 3+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy (for Senior role)
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more advanced practice areas is desired (for Senior role)
  • 1-3 years of experience in Occupational Therapy (for Staff role)
  • 1-3 years of experience in treating patients with one or more specialized areas of focus (for Staff role)
  • Entry level experience with one or more specialized areas of focus (for Staff role)
