PER DIEM OUTPATIENT SOCIAL WORKER
About The Position
Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a UHS Facility, is a growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility providing a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population. This includes specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults, with behavioral health assessments available 24 hours a day. The facility also offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues. A robust outpatient program will utilize a combination of group, family, and individual therapy. The Outpatient Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs, enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. This includes providing basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services for patients/families, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. Outpatient Services operate Monday - Friday, and the facility is seeking additional per diem/contingent licensed Master-level Social Workers to assist on busy days and cover days off for others.
Requirements
- MSW or MA in Counseling
- LMSW or LLMSW; LPC or LLPC
- At least 1 to 3 years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility
- Direct experience in family and group therapies
- Direct experience in crisis intervention
- Direct experience in treatment skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills
