About The Position
Riverside Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Rheumatologist to join a growing, well-established rheumatology program serving the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This position is predominantly outpatient-focused, with limited inpatient consultative responsibilities, and offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with strong system support. The practice is located in Hampton, VA with potential clinical presence in Williamsburg, VA. The role involves predominantly outpatient rheumatology practice with limited inpatient consultative coverage. It is part of an integrated care model with access to orthopedics, primary care, imaging, physical therapy, and infusion services. The ideal candidate is clinically excellent, committed to high-quality, evidence-based care, collegial, collaborative, team-oriented, interested in teaching and mentoring Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and enjoys participation in the education of residents and learners. They should also be comfortable contributing to the growth and development of a maturing rheumatology service line. The practice environment includes an established referral base with strong primary care and specialty alignment, an APP support structure, and on-site infusion services to streamline patient care and enhance continuity. There is an emphasis on access, patient experience, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
- Eligible for Virginia medical licensure
