About The Position

The Outpatient Retail Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, accurate, and patient‑centered medication services in a hospital system retail pharmacy. This position dispenses prescriptions, counsels patients, manages workflow, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides exceptional customer service. The Outpatient Retail Pharmacist is a critical member of the healthcare team that coordinates medication services with hospital and clinic staff for safe and effective patient care. This position provides direct patient care as part of a clinically focused pharmacy team in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Missouri
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
• Completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or equivalent preferred
• Experience in an outpatient or retail pharmacy setting
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Experience with medication therapy management (MTM)
