The nurse is expected to complete CAP requirements to advance and may be assigned other duties by the Supervisor. The work takes place in a health care facility with controlled air temperature and moderate noise. Work includes patient interaction, desk and computer work, and interaction with facility or hospital staff and physicians. The role may involve exposure to infectious or contagious diseases and materials, travel to training sites or other facilities, and work at other locations under the same described conditions. Direct patient care regularly involves heavy lifting, moving patients, and assisting with ambulation. The employee frequently stands for prolonged periods and bends over; with assistance, the employee may occasionally move machines or equipment weighing up to 200 pounds and lift chemical and water solutions weighing up to 30 pounds as high as five feet.
