We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our growing Blood and Marrow Transplant team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding program at OhioHealth where Nurses play a vital role in providing life-changing care to patients facing complex cancer diagnoses. Our nurses form deep, meaningful relationships with patients and their families by supporting them through every stage of their care journey. In this role, you’ll partner closely with APPs and Physicians to deliver exceptional outpatient hematology/oncology care. You’ll prepare for clinic days, assist with procedures, discharge and educate patients, administer vaccines, assist with outpatient procedures, and monitor critical lab results. This position offers exposure to a wide range of hematology and oncology cases including Multiple Myeloma, Lymphoma, and Leukemia (pre- and post-transplant care). The schedule offers four 10-hour shifts (with flexibility for 8-hour shifts) in a supportive and team-based environment. Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.
