About The Position
Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a freestanding, 122-bed facility specializing in general adult psychiatric, adolescent, geriatric, and women's services, located in southwest Houston. The hospital offers a continuum of care including inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders. Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care to patients attending the Outpatient programs. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing
- Currently licensed licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas from the State Board of Nursing
- Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one (1) year as a RN in psychiatric nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide medical management and assessment of patients.
- Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the adolescent patient population.
- Document nursing care treatment and patient’s response to treatment.
- Liaise with the treatment team to ensure a consistently therapeutic milieu.
