The Outpatient Dietitian provides evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition counseling to patients in the outpatient setting, with a primary focus on weight management and additional nutrition-related conditions as referred by providers. The position provides individualized nutrition assessment, education, counseling, goal setting, and follow-up to support sustainable behavior change and improved health outcomes. The Dietitian may support patients using anti-obesity medications and collaborates with providers and the healthcare team to address nutrition-related needs. This position may provide services at outreach locations as needed. The Outpatient Dietitian is an individual contributor with no direct supervisory or leadership responsibilities. This position interacts regularly with patients, families, providers, clinical support staff, and community partners. Strong interpersonal communication, patient education, clinical judgment, confidentiality, organization, and the ability to work independently are essential to success in this role.
