About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join its OP Therapy Department at the Crestline location. Under the direct supervision of a staff Physical Therapist, the assistant provides and administers specific physical therapy treatments and helps restore patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. The assistant supports patients in reaching their maximum performance and functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The position also participates in operational aspects of the department, performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities, infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety and fire safety programs. The schedule is day shift, 48 hours per pay period.

Requirements

Current State of Ohio license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
BLS certification, or obtain it within thirty (30) days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities
