About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join the OP Therapy Department at its Crestline location. Under the direct supervision of a staff Physical Therapist, the assistant provides and administers specific physical therapy treatments. As directed and supervised by the Physical Therapist, the assistant helps restore patient functioning and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability. The assistant supports patients in reaching their maximum performance and functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The role also participates in departmental operations, performance-improvement activities, CQI activities, infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety and fire-safety programs.

Requirements

Current State of Ohio license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
BLS certification, or obtain it within thirty days of hire.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities

Provide and administer specific physical therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a staff Physical Therapist.
Assist with restoring patient functioning and preventing disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
Help patients reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Participate in operational aspects of the department and maintain departmental performance-improvement activities.
Participate in CQI activities.
Participate in infection-control, departmental equipment-training, organizational safety, and fire-safety programs.
