Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited program
Valid PT license in New York State (or eligibility to obtain one at time of hire)
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
Proficiency in orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise prescription
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
Frequent standing, walking, and bending throughout the day

Nice To Haves

Prior outpatient PT experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine each patient's physical therapy needs
Build and adjust individualized treatment plans for orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal patients
Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities including ultrasound, e-stim, and heat/ice therapy
Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and posture correction
Track patient progress and refine treatment plans to keep functional outcomes on target
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to keep treatment coordinated and patient-centered
Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to standard
