About The Position

This position is for an Outpatient Physical Therapist in Illinois. The shift details are to be determined. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience and involves evaluating, diagnosing, and developing comprehensive treatment plans for patients with various conditions. The therapist will provide evidence-based interventions, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, document patient interactions, and educate patients and families. Maintaining a safe clinical environment is also a key responsibility. This position may require floating to clinically appropriate units as needed.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of practice (or compact eligibility).
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to new environments quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of recent outpatient experience preferred.
• NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications may be required for certain departments or units.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical function and quality of life.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure continuity of care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques to support ongoing recovery at home.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive clinical environment.
• Float to clinically appropriate units as needed, within the clinician's scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies.
