About The Position

A premier health organization in Ithaca, NY is looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a supportive outpatient clinic focused on orthopedic and general rehabilitation. You'll manage patients through their full recovery journey — from initial evaluation to discharge — in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Valid PT license in New York, or eligibility to obtain licensure at time of hire
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
Prior outpatient physical therapy experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration with patients, families, and care team members
Solid organizational and time-management ability
Demonstrated ability to treat a diverse caseload including orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs independently and up to 150 lbs with assistance
Frequent standing, walking, and patient movement throughout the shift

Responsibilities

Conduct initial evaluations and build individualized treatment plans for each patient
Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/ice therapy
Educate patients on home exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention to support long-term functional outcomes
Monitor progress and adjust plans to keep patients on track with their rehabilitation goals
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
Maintain accurate documentation — treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries — in compliance with departmental and industry standards
Uphold a clean, safe clinic environment in line with infection control and safety protocols
