About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician will prepare, package, document, and label pharmacy orders under the direct supervision of a California Board of Pharmacy licensed Pharmacist. Performs all required duties to prepare and fill pharmacy orders, including drug purchasing and inventory control procedures and up to the point of sale. Technician will participate in the Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects/programs and collect data for workload measurements as needed or required.

Requirements

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

Outpatient or Retail Inventory management experience
Minimum one year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Minimum a year of hazardous materials handling
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
