About The Position

This role involves collaborating with medical providers and clinical teams to offer patient/family advocacy, assessment, and psychosocial interventions for high-risk medical and surgical populations in an outpatient setting. The Social Worker operates autonomously within the social work discipline, managing referrals to resolution. The position focuses on providing coping support, appropriate concrete services, promoting patient and family wellness, improving care outcomes, and ensuring access to hospital and community resources.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
• No experience required
• LMSW - Licensed Medical Social Worker - State Licensure LMSW in state of Georgia or persons who have obtained a master's degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education can practice social work under direction and supervision while preparing to take the master's social work licensing examination for a period of up to one year following the granting of such degree Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

• Previous oncology experience.
• Previous Medical experience (hospital, nursing home, home health care, or dialysis)
