About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Outpatient Occupational Therapist for a Part-Time or Per Diem opportunity serving residents in senior living communities in Baltimore County, Maryland. This role offers the flexibility to treat patients in their apartments or in onsite therapy gyms, combining the personalized care of home-based services with the resources of an outpatient setting. Therapists will have clinical autonomy, engage in meaningful one-on-one interactions, and contribute to residents' independence and quality of life. As part of an integrated care continuum, collaboration with the home health therapy team is essential for seamless transitions and ongoing support. Requirements

  • A current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
  • A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior home care experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outpatient therapy evaluations to develop a plan of care for patients in senior living communities or group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Operate at the top of licensure using current research-based approaches to maximize functional independence for clients.
  • Collaborate with home health therapy partners to transition care from home health to outpatient services, achieving client-centered goals in their living environment.
  • Educate clients, families, and community caregivers on care plans to foster a team approach for maximizing functional independence.
  • Perform evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning using the outpatient EMR platform to document individualized treatment approaches.
