About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Outpatient Occupational Therapist for a Part-Time or Per Diem opportunity serving residents in senior living communities in Baltimore County, Maryland. This role combines the personalized care of home-based services with the resources of an outpatient setting, allowing therapists to treat patients in their apartments or onsite therapy gyms. Therapists will benefit from clinical autonomy, meaningful one-on-one interactions, and the chance to improve residents' independence and quality of life. The position involves collaboration with the home health therapy team to ensure seamless care transitions and ongoing support for residents.

Requirements

A current Maryland Occupational Therapist license.
A minimum of one year of recent work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Prior home care experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform outpatient therapy evaluations to develop care plans for patients in senior living communities or group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Utilize current research-based approaches to maximize functional independence for clients.
Collaborate with home health therapy partners to transition care from home health to outpatient services.
Educate clients, families, and caregivers on care plans to foster a team approach for maximizing functional independence.
Perform evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning using the outpatient EMR platform.
