About The Position
A community hospital located a few hours north of San Angelo, TX, is seeking a full-time, permanent Occupational Therapist to join their team! This is a great opportunity for new graduates as training is provided. The position offers a day shift schedule with options for (5) 8-hour shifts or (4) 10-hour shifts in an outpatient clinic setting. The hospital boasts a great therapy leadership and administration team and offers student loan assistance of $40,000.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Must have an active TX OT License, or the ability to obtain
- No experience required - Training provided
Nice To Haves
- Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Neurology, or Pelvic Health specialist preferred
Responsibilities
- Review the Physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
- Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to perform various physical activities and in the use of assistive and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses
- Record treatment, response, and progress in the patient's chart or enter information into the computer
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
