The Outpatient Nurse Coordinator is a member of the Infectious Diseases (ID) care delivery team responsible for the care of the ID patient in a global view, accountable for multiple aspects of the patient care package even when patient contact is minimized. The Outpatient Nurse Coordinator uses independent judgment and continued communication with the patient, family, physician and community resources to assist the patient in attaining a measure of outpatient health. The position is primarily office based with phone and computer contact with patients and care providers. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work in the Center for Care of Infectious Diseases (CCID) ambulatory care clinic. You will work among a dedicated and highly engaged team of doctors caring for patients in a variety of ID services including, but not limited to general infectious diseases, outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT), travel related infections and prevention, transplant infections, endovascular infections, etc.
