This position provides support for benign hematology, including sickle cell disease, hemophilia, clotting disorders, and iron deficiency. Responsibilities encompass assisting in clinic operations, obtaining prior authorizations for imaging, medications, and referrals, scheduling clinic and advanced imaging appointments, and performing phlebotomy. The role requires close collaboration with the hematology infusion department. Additionally, the coordinator will review laboratory and imaging results with providers, communicate recommendations to patients, manage incoming and outgoing patient calls, and participate in ongoing professional education.
