About The Position

Senior Life Solutions is hiring a master-level Therapist, Social Worker, or Counselor for its established Intensive Outpatient Therapy Program serving adults typically aged 65 and older in Harlan, Iowa. The program focuses on supporting older adults experiencing depression and/or anxiety related to life changes associated with aging. The therapist will work alongside another therapist and a collaborative care team. The company can provide supervision for provisionally licensed therapists, counselors, and social workers.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It offers a weekday schedule with no weekends or on-call duties. Compensation is up to $90,000 per year, dependent upon experience.

Requirements

• A state-recognized license in social work or counseling is required; examples include LISW, LCSW, LPC, and LMFT.
• Work with kindness and accountability to enhance patients’ quality of life.
• Successful completion of a full background check is required; drug testing may be included at times.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small multidisciplinary team comprising a psychiatric physician, RN Director, and medical office coordinator to provide services to the senior population.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches and develop, personalize, and update treatment plans with the team.
• Provide compliant documentation in accordance with Medicare guidelines within designated time frames.
• Provide group therapy, the program’s primary therapeutic focus.
• Provide individual sessions.
• Provide family therapy as needed.
• Assist with local community education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
