About The Position

Senior Life Solutions is hiring a master-level Therapist, Social Worker, or Counselor for its established Intensive Outpatient Therapy Program in Harlan, Iowa. The program has served the local community since 2019 and supports older adults, typically age 65 and older, who experience depression and/or anxiety related to life changes associated with aging. The therapist will work alongside another therapist and a collaborative care team to provide compassionate mental health support. Supervision may be provided for provisionally licensed therapists, counselors, and social workers.

The program’s main focus is group therapy, with individual sessions and family therapy as needed. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no weekends or on-call duties. The listed salary range is $80,000–$90,000 per year, dependent upon experience.

Requirements

• A state-recognized license in Social Work or Counseling is required; examples include LISW, LCSW, LPC, and LMFT.
• Work with kindness and accountability to enhance the quality of life for patients.
• Successful completion of a full background check is required; this may include drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a small multidisciplinary team comprising a psychiatric physician, RN Director, and medical office coordinator to provide services to older adults.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic approaches and develop, personalize, and update treatment plans with the team.
• Provide compliant documentation in accordance with Medicare guidelines within designated time frames.
• Provide group therapy, the program’s primary service.
• Provide individual sessions and family therapy as needed.
• Assist with local community education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
