About The Position

Nolia Health is a healthcare company dedicated to providing personalized, clinically-supported, and virtual-first services for older adults and their family caregivers or care partners. The company's mission is to elevate family caregiving as a central component of healthcare, ensuring family caregivers have the resources, knowledge, and support they need. This role involves delivering virtual outpatient therapy to individuals affected by chronic conditions and their family caregivers, focusing on adults, older adults, and family caregivers. The therapy services will address the emotional and psychological challenges that arise on this journey. Nolia provides centralized support for inquiries, scheduling, insurance contracting, billing, and collections, allowing therapists to focus on patient support.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in counseling or social work
  • Active, unrestricted license (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) in the State of California or Washington
  • Required experience with completing assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes in compliance with healthcare plans
  • Ideally 2 years of experience (professional or lived) in understanding the needs and challenges faced by family caregivers and older adults
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of cultural humility and the ability to communicate and effectively interact with individuals from different cultures, abilities, genders, ethnicities, and races.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty or training in ACT and/or CBT highly preferred.
  • Social justice oriented and practices anti-racism work
  • Proficiency in another language, other than English, is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform remote clinical counseling services to clients of Nolia as scheduled and in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain proper licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics which are binding upon or applicable to the services performed at Nolia
  • Completion of written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Nolia or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate patient files at all times.
