The Outpatient Manager Procedural Services is responsible for the planning, management, implementation, and evaluation of operations and services to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory agency standards and hospital policies, participates in strategic planning, and analyzes departmental needs. The manager oversees staffing, productivity, and the quality of patient care and satisfaction, facilitating care delivery within a patient-focused model and supporting case management protocols. They are also responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, promoting patient safety, and developing Performance Improvement projects. The manager assumes 24-hour responsibility for assigned areas, including budget preparation and administration, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and developing proposals for new programs and equipment. Additionally, the role involves the selection, development, motivation, and evaluation of staff, coordinating recruitment, facilitating retention strategies, assessing educational needs, and implementing disciplinary procedures. Maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external contacts, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and actively participating in hospital committees are key aspects of this position. The manager is also responsible for their own personal and professional growth and development, staying current with standards of care and participating in professional organizations.
