About The Position

A. Work with RNs to assist the Medical Director, MDs, and staff with health screening and physical exams that meet with his/her satisfaction. B. Assist in providing screening, interviews and evaluations in a professional and engaging manner, including the required information, organizing it for key personnel to suggest level of care for each client assigned, and clearly presenting the information to the psychiatrist and treatment team. Complete the required written documentation within one hour of admission into detox/crisis program. C. Provide nursing care in a professional, compassionate and effective manner, and in keeping with established standards. D. Maintain the security of the medications in the storage and dosing areas, ensuring that all supplies are accounted for. E. Inspect/oversee integrity of medical area ensuring that it is clean and well-stocked on a daily basis. F. Monitor and document client medications from prescribing physicians both inside and outside of the organization. G. Work with clinical staff to ensure appropriate documentation of Medicaid clients. H. Administer and dispense medication and prepare and monitor medication dosages, ensuring that each client receives the proper dosage in a timely manner. I. Assist with education of topics pertinent to the program. As a presenter, is knowledgeable, effective and professional. J. Provide crisis intervention and referrals in a manner that is prompt, effective and professional. K. Establish a rapport and provide professional and effective counseling for clients. L. Attend in-services, staff meetings, and other staff functions as required by Supervisor.
