The Outpatient Lab Service Technician performs various specimen collections and Point of Care testing for patients of all ages to aid in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires accuracy in patient identification, specimen integrity, and labeling. Responsibilities include training and mentoring staff, troubleshooting, problem-solving, prioritizing work, and making sound decisions. A professional image must be maintained at all times. Participation in special projects and serving as a resource are expected. Attendance at the Mayo Clinic phlebotomy training program may be required. Individuals hired must complete two years in this position before being eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic. Visa sponsorship is not available, and this position does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
